As your current Ward 4 Councillor, and as an active and influential member of the community, Peter has supported:

Councillor Longo is the only candidate with a record of fighting to save Glen Abbey.
Controlling growth by supporting strong official plans and zoning
Shifting costs of growth to developers and protecting Oakville residents from unwanted development applications
Building important new public facilities in Oakville
Maintaining a full range of public sports and cultural facilities such as arenas, and indoor and outdoor spaces for activities such as soccer, tennis, pickle ball and baseball
Continuing to ensure taxes remain in line with inflation
Managing debt responsibly and maintaining the strongest possible credit rating (AAA)
Improving both roads and transit to relieve traffic congestion and promote community safety through initiatives such as adaptive traffic signals
Has never taken campaign contributions from developers

Continue to connect with residents and advocate for our community priorities
Manage taxes responsibly. Peter will keep overall property taxes in-line with inflation over the next term
Maintain infrastructure. Peter will focus spending so that our roads, storm sewers and facilities are well maintained
Support transportation initiatives such as traffic calming to alleviate traffic congestion while fighting local speeding. Balancing roads and transit to respond to population growth and a plan that coincides with development instead of after the fact
Focus on community safety. Peter will work with Halton Region Police Services, municipal staff and local residents to address community safety concerns
Direct growth while protecting established neighbourhoods. Peter will continue to defend official plans from development appeals to protect stable neighbourhoods and make growth pay for itself - defending the principle that developers should pay for the full cost of roads, facilities, water and sewer systems for new development instead of being paid for by your taxes
